FANTASMAGORIA is a multimedia,  8-part graphic novel limited series in two volumes.

Each chapter invites the reader to visit the Fantasmagoria: Videos section of stephanecoteart.com in order to experience the music and exclusive imagery which are connected to the graphic novels. 

The story takes place in post-apocalyptic Montreal, which has succumbed to nuclear strikes. Felly, a young man from the city, narrowly escapes to the outskirts, where he falls in with a group of misfits. He follows them to Bedside Manor, the former honeymoon hotel of Fantasmagoria, the fun park for adults.

There, he meets the other Bedsidians and their leader, the notorious and dangerous Jezebel Widdenworth.

Felly faces terrible loss, fascinating encounters and frightening new realities in Fantasmagoria, the ultimate destination for love, revenge, rock’n roll and radioactive chaos.

Queer author Côté has created a diverse cast of characters from all walks of life, nationalities, genders and sexual orientations, plunging them mercilessly in a tale of horror, humour, romance and supernatural fantasy. Greatly inspired by Tim Burton, Watchmen and American Horror Story,  Fantasmagoria is a stand-alone comic which includes several sub-stories, further exploring the characters’ in a pre-nuclear world (Dizzy Dot’s, The Widdenworths) and their strange, present-day reality (Tales of the Affected).

This series contains adult themes, sexuality, nudity, course language and violence.
